It felt like winning the lottery to find a partner with a similar dream. A mountain house. Simple. Peace and quiet. Nature. Mountains and forests below us, mountains and rocks and snow above us, mountains all around us.

When we found this house, we instinctively knew it would be our home. At the first viewing in July 2025, we already felt a sense of calm in this place, and our hearts said: Yes, this is the place we want to go for. Three eagles overhead in July, and fresh wolf tracks in the snow in November. After our offer was accepted in September, it took a long time for the permit for permanent residence to be issued. In November 2025, we finally received that relief: the green light to purchase the house and hire a contractor for the renovation. That was, until we visited the house with the contractor and discovered the moisture problem. The proposed solution meant the renovation would require twice as much money as we had available. Our dream shattered. Our destination, which Aad had dreamed of as a child and Jeanette since she was 19, unattainable? Withdrawing or looking for another house isn't really an option, because we'd lose the down payment and have to pay the real estate agent fees again, making the chances of finding another suitable house within our budget very slim. And in all our searches (both online and locally), we haven't found a place as special as this one! Unfortunately, taking out a loan isn't possible, as neither of us will have a paid job anymore in April. So why not offer our future services now already, delight people with a unique experience, and with your down payments, be able to fully embark on this dream project?

We're launching a rewards-based crowdfunding campaign by offering vacations, workshops, mountain hikes (summer and winter), massages, reiki, and other fun incentives. Supporters can pay in advance and collect their rewards after the renovation is completed. You'll receive an official certificate for your contribution, which will then serve as a voucher for the full cost of the service.

With the money we can renovate the house's foundation and floor, furnish the ground floor for our own living, and convert the upper floor into a guest house. This way, we create a healthy and sustainable living environment that we can share with people who also want to experience life in this unique place.
